First Capital Connect operate frequent direct trains to Bedford from several London stations including St. Pancras International, London Blackfriars and London Bridge. Direct trains also run regularly from Brighton, Gatwick and Luton Airports, Croydon and St. Albans.

East Midlands Trains operate fast services to Bedford from St. Pancras International, Wellingborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham with connections from Derby, Sheffield and Lincoln.

London Midland-Connections from Birmingham, Coventry, Hemel Hempstead, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Rugby and Watford can be made using services from Bletchley to Bedford.

Eurostar services from Paris, Lille and Brussels operate into St. Pancras International station giving easy interchange onto First Capital Connect and East Midlands Trains services to Bedford (see above).
