London Luton Airport is approximately 20 miles away with fast frequent trains via Luton Parkway and free shuttle to the airport. Direct trains operate to London Gatwick Airport also. Connections to and from London Heathrow via London Underground to St Pancras Station.

Getting to Bedford by air is easy. There are several major airports from which frequent public transport services run either directly to Bedford or require one easy change to reach the town.

London Luton Airport and Gatwick Airport receive regular domestic and international flights. Frequent train services provided by First Capital Connect run direct from both Luton and Gatwick airports to Bedford. From London Luton Airport there is a frequent shuttle bus between the airport terminal and Luton Airport Parkway railway station. There are normally at least five trains every hour from Luton Airport Parkway station to Bedford.

From Heathrow Airport, take the London Underground Piccadilly Line service to St.Pancras, then catch the First Capital Connect or East Midlands Trains service from St. Pancras International direct to Bedford. There are generally at least 6 trains an hour between St. Pancras International and Bedford.

From Nottingham East Midlands Airport, take the shuttle bus to Loughborough railway station before catching the East Midlands Trains service direct to Bedford. Trains run every half an hour on Mondays to Saturdays, slightly less frequently on Sundays.
