The international guests will also participate in and run a number of workshops in local schools and community groups prior to the event. The programme throughout the weekend will feature kites never seen before in the UK and children’s and adults workshops in the kite marquee. The festival has the unique ability to engage and enable all ages to take part; anyone can fly a kite. A special arena for members of the public to fly their own or made in the workshop kites will also be onsite. Alongside the various demonstrations in the arena will be a whole host of other attractions, food and drink, entertainment, music and kite stalls specialising in kite equipment, clothes and other accessories. To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee we will be extending the event in 2012 to include an 'ITS A KNOCKOUT' competition on Monday 4th June and a music event on Tuesday 5th.
