Bedford Art Society Spring Exhibition
Bedford Art Society presents an exhibition of new work by members. All work is for sale. The launch is on Saturday 14th April form 11am to 2pm.
Hedgerow craft: an illustrated talk
"Hedgerows and their management" an illustrated talk by Paul Blissett. The presentation will cover how and why hedgerows came about, their role in the landscape, attitudes to hedgerows, hedgerow management by hedgelaying and other means, regional variations, and how all these things have changed over time. He will also bring some traditional hedgelaying tools and protective clothing items as these are quite distinctive. Paul has combined a 20 year career in IT with 25 years hedgelaying and 10 years yoga teaching. The IT involvement continues though now all unpaid and his guiding principle is "find something you enjoy and you'll never work another day in your life".
